What is a good design?

Design means either internal design or external design. If the complete arrangement of the software is reliable, understood and well organized, then we can say that the software program has an excellent internal design. A internal design is said to be good when it can handle errors, log data correctly and safe to maintain. If the software program meets all the end-users procedures, it is said that the software has an excellent functional design. Most users don't have enough computer knowledge and may not read the manual to put them through. In such cases, if the end users can use the software application without reporting any bugs or defect, then we can say the softawre is a good design.
