Is Performance Engineering Different from Performance Testing?

Performance Testing and Performance Engineering are both concerned with the ultimate performance of a website or application. However, they are different in the mechanism of operation.

Performance Engineering is observing the data received from performance testing and working with them by making important structural changes, such as architecture, implementation, and resources.

Performance Testing, on the other hand, involves sorting out the problems (potential), and finding solutions to make the software application better.
